I have two amplifiers, I wan't one running my front components and one running my subwoofer. I only have one pre-out on the head unit.

One of the amps has a RCA Output, can this be linked to the other amplifier, if so, how will the signals be affected for the sub etc.

If I run the output from the amplifier running the sub, to the amplifier running my components, will the comps only recieve a Low pass signal?

Does your sub amp have a low pass x-over built in??
If so, you can send it a full range signal from the amp powering your comps and use the inbuilt x-over to filter out the non sub bass frequencies

Yes it does. So I have my comps amp on 'Full' with the RCA's going into the sub amp which will be on 'LPF' ... if this is true that would be brilliant!

Full signal to the comps if using them with the supplied passive crossovers, then send the full range signal to the sub amp and use the LPF and level control on the sub amp for the sub.

No need to feed the sub any more than 120-150hz (bordering on mid bass above that) and tweak/fine tune till your haapy with the x-over point and level from the sub amp.

You'll probably find that the sub x-over point your most happty with, will be somewhere between 70 - 90hz.
