Right as you can tell I'm thinking is there any advantage to fitting series A management on later series B engine?
Also is it possible to fit a zone chip to the earlier Bosch Mototronic ecu?
325i M20 ecu from a series A on a series B & chip Q?

you can swop form the early motronic as per chrome bumper models to the later by swopping the engine looms and sensors over, the later is more powerful and has more mapping locations so if you can be arsed its a worthwhile task, later ECU is far more relible too dude
the early m 1.1 units are chippable of course, and yeah can do that, tried and tested on my Tech 1 , refined over 40K miles too

Like the sound of 'refined' I'll probably be after the wild version as it's gonna be rallied to deathant wrote:you can swop form the early motronic as per chrome bumper models to the later by swopping the engine looms and sensors over, the later is more powerful and has more mapping locations so if you can be arsed its a worthwhile task, later ECU is far more relible too dude
