Dropped my car off to a local body shop (bmw specialists) to have my n/s front jacking point welded and a small 2" bit on o/s inner sill this morning about 830 (MOT fail)

Got a phone call about 10 30 " do you want to come and have a look at your car mate- bit worse than we thought??"

so with visions of complete sills/wings floors bieng needed i jumped on the bike and shot down there, when i got there the guy had cut out the rust on n/s an left about a 8"x4" hole to fill in plus about 6 inch on inner sill needed a plate , also found will need a plate soon behind throttle pedal/inner sill about 4 "

:? :(

not as bad as i thought he was making it out- got both side skirts off and wing kit on both sides and rest of car is solid bit of surface under the kit but its 16yrs old FFS

I was under the car recently at MOT and its solid just these little bits that i knew would need done- have had it for a year so wasnt that desperate to be done- should have seen some of the shitters i looked at before i got this one-

so hopefully will be all back together tonight and all happy again!!

Would have done it myself but all my tools etc are back in my workshop in Scotland - so i have to pay someone
completely against a Scotsmans principles!!

Also just found out my MOT station has a roling road round the back!! might stick it on the rollers and see what its making!!!
