Hey guys, here are a few pics of the 1.8 m40 I'm doing up to replace my uber noisy 1.6. As the title suggests it's not the most exciting transplant but it's just a stop gap until I can get a 2.5 together

Keep it up.

Got a decent set of HT leads and some low low mileage NGK plugs if you want them for an m40. Nice work though there!

That's a mighty engine crane!

So, do you happen to live in a nuclear bunker or something? :)

8O  only kidding Chief. I'll get that m20b25 when you m30 that touring ;)

A truer word has never been spoken, it has numerous uses too. Nope I don't live in a nuclear bunker however, I've been told that maybe I should consider it for the benefit of the general public. If you were asking if Neil lives in a Nuclear Bunker then the answer is I can't tell you or I'd have to kill you 8O only kidding, he has no interweb connection at the moment.

I'm just going to keep it auto, I'm a lazy boy at heart. Thanks, aye it's looking not too shabby. The under bonnet area shall get a thorough going over when I drop the old lump out...

Cheers again Robbo, I think I should be ok with the leads I've got, however I shall give you a shout if that changes

I called in to see this epic build in the flesh yesterday - strong smell of paint as I waked in the door and JP and Neil weren't making much sense! At first I thought it might be the paint fumes then I realised they never make any sense!

Engine bay and engine look fantastic. Glad to hear you got the bearing out last night. Should have it back on the road in no time.

Cheers Mr Ronan, yeah the old paint fumes simply fuel the nonsense that both Neil and I spout. Thanks for the positive feedback man, think it should be done this weeked 8) That bearing was absolutely f88king annoying to say the least but at least it's gone

We tried using grease etc, got some of the way with that, then had to make a bodged together puller out of a socket, a bolt, 3 nuts and a washer

Fun times all round!

Cheers Grant, to be fair the engine bay looked a lot worse than it actually turned out to be! Aye hopefully this weekend if all goes according to plan, yup it was used to provide sustenance for our weary souls 8). As Neil pointed out it's smoked sausage like pepperoni pizza but better, truly a forgotten jem of the fast food world?

Good work man, once this is done we can get your stuff in order

Less of the 4 banger chat too, it did you proud on the roam this year

Smoked Sausage Pizza FTW winkeye

OMG, you guys have just gone down in my estimation. Smoked sausage is the devils penis!

The only way you can redeem yourselves is by severely polishing that engine bay, lol!

If you keep the 1.6 admission intake manifold you'll have a better low end response. As the rest is equal.Think about that. ;)
