Whats actually broken on the fan? the viscous or trhe fan blade? cuz both were A' ok :?

Kenlowe slim fan are meant to be the ones, slimline front mounted, take the front grill off and measure before buying of course and make sure the temp sensor is the right thread size( M10 for rad and 1/8npt for adaptor) to either fit the rad or the adapter plate thats in the top hose...

Im really confused as to the fan blades as they were perfect and its fairly robust plastic theyre made from! 8O

i've bought a fan very similar to that one 16'' and front mounted it and just got it wired to a switch, about 5 blades have snapped off on the viscous fan so i've removed it and im gonna replace it so then i got the viscous for normal driving and i can use the electric one when im drifting.

im a little confused as to why you gotta trim the blades down on the viscous as to not hit the vanos solenoid, how come it clears the vanos in the e36 but not when fitted to the e30 ??????
