Picked up this set of wheels for my new 02 for a good price.
Anyone know much about them.

Anyone know much about them - had never heard of them before and bought them unseen but stoked when they arrived. Perfectly straight with no kerbing and only need a mild refurb and the highlights repainted. Will look the dogs on my Polaris '02.
Any tip on refurb very welcome - polish / 200 grit then seal. How is the best way to seal them - rattle can clear OK?
TIA

100+ are made by rimstock, who also make team dynamics wheels.
I have to say i didn't have high hopes when i clicked on this thread, most 100+ wheels are gash! But they look good, not seen that design before.

- With regards to a refurb on a budget, i rubbed my old mazda wheels down with aluminium oxide paper and applied a couple of coats of filler primer, you'll be ok with ordinary primer though as they're not kerbed.
- Rub down with wet and dry, i think i used 800.
- Spray a couple of coats of paint.
- Rub lightly with 1500/2000 grit paper
- Apply lacquer generously, 2 coats. Be careful of it running though! The warmer the wheel/lacquer/ambient temperature, the better, less chance of the lacquer running or going cloudy.

I got a great finish with this method, i sold the car a year later and the wheels were still in the same condition.

Thanks Max. I had hoped to retain the existing finish rather than paint (other than touching up the highlights).

i was going to say that lacquer always cracks and lets in water which leads to corrosion, but they might have a better thance of staying nice given that you don't live in the cold, grey wet UK!
cheers,
