hi,

i recently cleaned my inlet manifold, and so replaced the inlet manifold gasket, and both throttle body gaskets

i have also cleaned my ICV with carb cleaner

i have sealed/ replaced all my vacuum hoses and sprayed WD40 on them while the engine is running to see if the engine changes note

i installed a viper chip, and then reinstalled the normal chip

and my car still "hunts" between 500-1100 rpm and sometimes even stalls!!

what the hell is going on!!!

Try a different ICV.

I had this when I converted a 318i cab to 2.5 power, idling it would hunt between 500 and 1500rpm then die and wouldnt start again for a few minutes. Tried a spare ICV and it went away.

Cheers,

I also had a strange idling problem with my auto. If the ICV is the cause, where about is it situated??
