I recently bought a 1991 320i Convertible that's in generally fine fettle. One thing is the clutch pedal sits high, maybe 2-3" higher than the other pedals. The previous owner had recently had new master and slave cylinder fitted and said the car had returned like that.
I took it to a local BMW specialist for a full service last Friday and they have said it needs a new clutch to rectify it,although it drives fine. The take up is fine and there is no slipping etc.
I've got zero mechanical knowledge or skills so i'm just wondering if any E30 gurus out there would concurr with the garage?
I intend getting it as 'nice' as possible,as it's a very original, unmolested car in Lagoon green with beige sports seats.
Any thoughts on the subject and a rough guide price for a new clutch would be most appreciated.
