How much should i expect to pay for a G reg royal blue 325i convertable? Its a switchable auto, 1 owner for last 7/8 years, 165000 miles, loads of service history, m.o.t till july, only done 600 miles since july 2009 (weekend car), leather seats, totally standard except for 16'' wheels. Sorry can't get pictures but looks a proper minter, rust free, clean interior. How much roughly is this worth. Thanks.

With summer coming up, prices for cabby's do tend to go up a bit. A nice mint one will do well on it's value :) Just look at the calypso red one on eBay, bidded up to 3.3k.

A few pic's would obviously help though :)

If it's really nice it's worth 2.5 to 3k all day long. You have to remember theres a lot of shite out there. Pay a premium for a nice one and keep it nice and you won't go far wrong. Also worth paying a bit more if it has a mint roof or even better (a new) roof. Remember, a good quality OEM german roof will set you back 700 quid.

However, without pics it's impossible to value.

If it's an utter molested shed, no more the 1500 tops.

Whatever you do, make sure you check everywhere for rust, there are plenty of hidden nasties to be found in 90% of the cars for sale out there

Any where to look in particular for rust on cabbies or is it the same common places?

I noticed they rust towards the rear of the door shut, but compared to saloon's they seem to rust much less. No roof rust to worry about as well.
