Sunroof problem

My sunroof slides shut, but continues and goes into tilt position, and same when closing, tilt shuts but continues to slide open whilst pressing the button, rather than the normal two stage operation. I will try a different sunroof switch, but am inclined to think it's the relay. Can you let me know what you think. How does the sunroof relay come out? Can't get to it all that easily via that little inspection panel near the check control panel.

Has it always been like that or has it just started doing it ?

If you have had the motor out it may be out of sync now.

That's a thought. It has always been like it since I've owned the car - 3 years now, but the guy I bought it from had replaced the panel, wrong colour etc. Checking sync, does that involve removing the motor assembly.
