Fuel Tank Capacity?

Hello.

After a recent post about MPG i've been trying to figure mine out.

Can you tell me the capacity of a m40 316i auto?

62 L?

And what mpg BMW think I should get from it?

I'm not helped by a temperamental fuel gauge so do you know how much is left in the tank when the light comes on?

44.8 MPG at 56MPH, 34.4 at 75, 28.0 urban cycle.
around 5 litres.
