I just spotted this on a recent thread:

Went to a local breakers today in the hopes of plundering a pre-facelift bronze 320i Auto they had just taken delivery of.
What a piece of shit!! Only 62,000 on the clock but really nasty. One owner from new, the story went. Every part of the interior was worn to bits, cracks the size of the grand canyon through the dash and the seats were finished in labrador. Made mine look concourse, which gives me hope.

Anyway, I digress. The point being the engine wasn't the same as mine. Couldn't find the ICV or the Clutch fluid bottle and it only had one washer bottle.

I spent quite some time trying the 'pump the throttle pedal 5 times' method to read my 325iSE's Motronic fault codes via the 'Check Engine' dashboard light, only to be advised by Brianmoooore that UK-spec cars aren't fitted with the lamp; it only applies to US spec cars - doh!
