What's the deal with SE spec?

What are the differences? OBC? Comfort seats? Different steering wheel?

I've just discovered my car has the rear window blind. Is that one of the "Special" features?

special edition, the 4 door one i had, had the computer, blind, tech 2 kit and steering wheel.... sport seats(cloth)....think it had an illuminated gear knob but not 100% sure now...

Hmnn!! Think I've got most of that (Not sure about the wheels)except for the illuminated gear knob.

how come every se i've had be it 320i or 325i has had rear discs yet the spec lists show drums??

I had a 90 se moredoor about a year ago it had most of the spec on the list including illuminated gear knob and wheel obc and bbs 15 but no blind.

My 90 320iSE moredoor has cross spoke 14"s, illuminating knob, no rear blind and rear drum brakes (no abs).

Se ment the rear spoiler, front fod's, electric front window's, heated mirrors and velour seat covering.
As all else was still an option.

4 doors cost more then, now its the other way around, the 2 door e90s cost a fair chunk more than 4 doors

SE meant special equipment. my dads old chrome bumper 325i 4dr SE had a shagging blind. My old 4 dr 2,5 SE also had one
