I have a beautiful E30s 325i Sport H reg; is there a list of things that ought to be checked, as much as preventative measures, than necessarily needing doing ? Basically, a check-list or bullet-points that I can get a local independent to run thru, and so I am happy all is well....in addition to the routine service. I want to be sure that garage doesn't ignore any E30 'weaknesses' or 'essential' items. Thanks.

If I just bought a 325i, there's a list of things I would change, just to make me feel better, that would be
Timing belt, and aux belts
Tensioner
Water pump
Viscous
Thermostat
2x temp sensors mounted in the thermostat housing
Coolant
Brake fluid
You could do all the above yourself for less than Ԛ£120.
With these changed, as well as the usual service you should have trouble free motoring.
Also get the garage to check the car over for any air leaks, E30's are prone to them, and can cause a lot of running problems.
