Whilst searching for specialist BMW dealers in Germany I noticed a few of the cars that were advertised were imported from Japan. So after a little more searching I uncovered a lot of lovely unused goodness that's on sale now. Unfortunately here in the UK we seem to get imported jdm stock thats seen much better days (botched repairs, tracked, different panels/interiors).
As for this lot however, if it's good enough for the Germans, it's good enough for me!

There are a lot of 'ordinary' 325i sport/mtech models and a strangely nice brown 325ix with 20k on the clock for sale. The Alpina's stood out for me though 
Makes you feel warm inside that there are models like this still around and for quite reasonable (compared to europe prices) prices too.
