Hi - I've picked up what I think is an M-Tech 2 wheel from the scrappy - sorry, I can't post pics, but it has got 3 spokes, with the thum indents at the top of the side spokes, 3 oblong horn pushes and KBA 70 074 moulded in to the back of a spoke. It has no 'M' flashes on it, but the slot on the bottom spoke next to the horn button has got the indents to put the 'M' label on. Is this 'M Tech-2'? - also, the leather rim is worn and torn - can these be recovered?- has anybody had it done, and can you recommend an upholstery firm to do it? how much money?
Any help/advice gratefully received.

hi m8 ,sounds like an m tech 1 , the m tech 2 has a central horn push ,
there a plenty of nice ones still around and i think the cost of trimming it
would out weigh buying another in better nick , unless you know a trimmer of course ! if money is tight maybe a bit of leather restorer might tidy it up ?
cheers paul

Cheers - Mtech1 it is then! - leather is ripped badly right at the top, so I don't think I can tart it up. Will still look and feel better than my current motorsport 3 spoke if I can get it recovered cheap enough!!

Cheers, Daz - yup, that's what it is.
The wheel at present on the car has broader spokes, with big central horn push, but no 'slots' for the Mtech badge - is this a standard 'sports' leather wheel?
