I'm going leccy next week, purely cos the fan off a saab turbo I was selling hasn't sold on Ebay. Well I mean it's a mod I had planned, but I'll actually do it now. Anyone know of a BMW sensor that will fit in the blanking plates of my thermostat housing?

Bearing in mind a new M3 fan is over Ԛ£200 , Ԛ£50 sounds reasonable for a rare part that will bolt straight in and is compatible with oe wiring. Obviously buying unknown parts off ebay, and if they work spending 3 hours fitting them is much more fun :( .

The 320 i bought of ziggy had the viscous fan removed but no electrical fan... I thought it was wierd and took it out for a good rag to see if it would overheat and its temp was rock solid even without the fan... i think we should ask ziggy what he did.. and he didnt remove the thermostat either!!
