as to whether it is possible to adjust the rear window angle as my passenger door glass is now sitting on the frame of the rear window when the door is closed, so it needs sorting before the door gets shut too keenly and breaks the glass

yes; have you got Bentleys? Section 14 Page 40... I bet not; sorry I've got no working scanner on this PC, otherwise I'd post it up for you.
but I suggest you check the hood as well - why is it so out of shape?
What happened?

hi. thats how it was when i bought the car, altho the hood is brand new, well six months old. I`ve only had the car about 3 weeks and i`m gradually seeing to all the niggly problems. Mechanically its sound as is the bodywork with no rust anywhere. Like i say stupid things really. Dont suppose you know how to change rear strut tops do ya?

could be that whoever fitted the new top got it slightly wrong.. where are you based?
Not done it myself, but rear shocks are allegedly easy; just make sure the suspension doesn't over-extend as you can damage the cv joints.
From memory you take out the oval rubber bungs under the hood-flap to get access if that helps...
if you are going to do stuff yourself, IMHO a Bentleys is much better than a Haynes

Hi
I think you can adjust the hood ...if you look to the rear quarter of the hood frame you will see a little rubber cap over a (i think ) allen or hex socket ..I think this djusts the roof struts
