How on earth do you do it?

Can you split the fuse box at the split line? Have a chap over fitting an immobilizer and he needs it out...

Thanks in advance!

Three self tapping screws hold the top of the fusebox in place. One is obvious, outside of the box, one is obvious inside the box, and the third one is hidden under a relay. DON'T touch the hex headed cap bolt!!
All normal alarm/immobiliser connection points on an E30 are present in the area around the glovebox. Any idea why he wants to go into the fusebox?

I showed him this and he did it in the glovebox area, thank you!

Out of interest what happens if the hex bolt was to be tampered with?

It secures the main power feed to the fusebox and to the ignition switch, so, flickering lights, stuttering engine with relays chattering, followed by a melting fusebox!

Thanks for that...

Have you seen my other thread? Methinks the chap may well have touched it, as my lights/stereo started to flicker, then cut out for a second, then stop until you applied pressure to the fuse box...

Am I right in thinking it's probably going to be more than just tightening it up again?

Thanks for your help thus far!

Cheers for that...

Not sure why he played with it but it transpired he did a little.

Have started it up this morning and everything seems to be fine until it is under load and then the fusebox starts smoking, which really isn't good news!

What can I do?

There must be one or two competent alarm (and ICE) fitters out there, but they, or their work, have never yet crossed my path!!
