Hi just took the engine out of my frag car, its 1989 325. As recommended by Brianmoore in many of the posts I searched out on the subject. I left its loom all attached. The engine's going into a 1990 320 cab. My question is can I use the 320 engine loom on the 325 engine. As the loom on the 325 has been messed about with. For instance the blue temp sender wires have been cut and joined to the ecu wiring just before the ecu plug. its also been cut and joined elsewhere and I simply don't like the look of it. I'd much prefer to use the 320 loom if possible.

^Exactly what he said!^
The corrosion is likely to be inside the rubber boot of the plug and socket mentioned, where the wires can rot right through. This is very probably why your 325 loom has been butchered.

Thanks for the replies, so as long as the ecu plug has 3 rows the looms will swap? I mean the ecu's won't have different pin configurations will they? Whats the best way to repair any damage? Ans can I leave the injector wiring on 325 engine and connect it to the 320 loom as that would save time?
