but still produce amazing mpg figures,

but i should imagane the cost would be quite high, anyone got any idea???

im just playing with idea for when my car goes and i get a newun! :D

oh yeah i think it maybe, pretty ucking awesome if you ask me, but i suppose the cost of the converstion will never be recouped by fuel economy!?

This swap would be a beast!! ive driven an E60 535 and they go like sh*t off a shovel (for a derv anyway)
You are right though, the cost of the engine would be monumental, and i think you'd have trouble fitting it all in, they are crammed into the 5!
Btw it does have two turbos, but they are not 'twin turbos' in the common sense, either one or the other is working. Small one at low revs and big'n at high revs = stupid amounts of torque + very little lag

i thought about it - i should imagine wiring/plumbing was the biggest issue - the lump itself is similar to the m50

would be an awesome conversion imo - i think i might do one for my next project but in a touring (might as well be economical and practical)

can be tuned as well

they do 0-60 in 6secs in a 1900kg 5 series, with a huge wave of torque so 1/2 the weight and you can imagine the performance and fuel economy that could be achieved!!

i wouldnt reccomend LPG with any turbo charged car, because LPG doesnt have the cooling propeties of petrol, which can cause detonation which of course can meen death to any engine, trust me det is something you dont need i had it on my old escort estate turbo  , and it kinda melted pistons :x
