Hey guys ive got a set of alloys which could do with a refurb. I was wondering if there are any decent links with a step-to-step guide on showing you how to refurb your alloys. Or even if any of you guys have done it yourself, could you please share your ideas.
Also what kind of equipment will i require to carry out the refurb. Thanks

Had them shotblasted, then just used varying degrees of sandpaper.
Etch primed the centres, the sprayed them black, finally a couple of coats of clear laquer.
Takes some time but i,m happy with result.

Don, i started with P60 grade paper, the green stuff , then P80.
Then normal sandpaper right through to 1200. Iirc, i used about 4 cans of Rust Not Black
spray, and 2 cans of laquer. Will be cleaning the wheels soon and then applying a wax sealant, after polishing the lips with Mequairs polishing paste. Only laquer,d the centre part of wheels though, not the lips. As for worrying about paint drip, you,ll be fine, no one more cack handed than me. Really satisfying, but time consuming job. Good luck and post before and after
pics. About to start another set.
