m60 gearboxes

what gearboxes can be used on the m60 v8 is it specifically the m60 one or can any others be made to fit?

only gearbox that will fit are ones designed for bmw v8 m60/m62 engines, manual boxes are rare & expensive. another option would be an adapter plate to fit another box from a cosworth sierra or a toyota supra as these would handle the torque.

that sounds like an idea an adapter plate like used for kit cars etc any idea of any where that makes them?
