E30 1970 TO 1980

CARS WITH -
BOSCH K-JETRONIC FUEL SYSTEM

ON ALL ELECTRIC PUMP (FUEL INJECTION) EQUIPPED CARS,THE FUEL PUMP IS MOUNTED TOGETHER WITH THE EXPANSION TANK FOR THE EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM.
THE PUMPS WHICH ARE MOUNTED TOGETHER WITH THE EXPANSION TANK ARE LOCATED UNDER THE REAR OF THE CAR.

BE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE WORKING ON THE FUEL SYSTEM.

Look under the car about ten inches in front of the rear left wheel,i think you'll find the pump is there.

????? E30's were made between 1982 and 1993 surely ?.

The pump is under the black metal cover under the back seat (drivers side) and is fitted into the top of the fuel tank.

IIRC, the pump under the wheel arch is the high pressure pump. There's still a pump in the tank that feeds the other pump.

The prefacelifts came with a sender pump intank and a high pressure pump mounted infront of the rear offside wheel. The post '87 cars had this changed to a single high pressure intank pump.
