Hey guys. Just purchased an old 86 325es that needed a fuel pump supposedly. It has both an in-tank fuel pump and a external pump. I installed a large high flow internal pump and got rid of the external pump. Now it pumps fuel through the fuel rail, but the car wont start or run unless i pour a little fuel into the airbox.
To me that means that its got fuel at the injectors, but they must not be spraying or else they are clogged. What would cause this, im sure its a simple solution. It runs great with a little petrol in the airbox.
Anyway i can test the crank sensor or run the injectors at static to make sure they arent closed by jumpering some wires?
Thanks for the help its greatly appreciated.
