right the 1st problem i have is the car overheating, ive taken the t/stat out to see if that solves it which it didnt, i suspect it to be a head gasket problem.

the question is if the head gasket was gone would this mean it would be a pig to start? it keeps turning and turning, sometimes a cough of splutter but very dificult to start, especially when warm.

thanks in advance

It would make it harded to start as it could be loosing compresion via the head gasket.
