Hey people!

Just got the car back from the MOT went through after changing the engine mounts and lower arms but I've noticed that the car still feels very floaty. It's my first e30 so ive not much to compare it to other than my e36. I would expect the car to be tighter and the stearing to be more responsive. Any recommendatons on what to look for or how to tighten it up.

I'm thinking along the lines of Z3 stearing rack - Whats the deal with that, price, fitting etc

Also a polly bush kit for the front.

Cheers

As you've just changed the front arms, and as you say not sorted the tracking, then it will most likely feel floaty(er).

The E30 front end (non 4wd) does feel light, but tracking would be a good move before you resort to quicker racks / hard bushes.

Have you checked that the front wishbone bushes were installed the right way? The numpty that installed wishbones on my car put them in the wrong way and the symptoms were similar to yours, steering feeling lighter and 'floaty'. Once I got them replaced with a set installed correctly, problem solved.
