Just wanted to publicly say a massive thanks to Scot & Roy for organising this weekends Billing meet.

My friends and I had a cracking weekend, Some serious food consumed and a bit of sunburn from today.

I know there was a little issue which I'll let others discuss but it didn't make it any less fun even considering the delightful British weather , BBQing in the rain

all in all a good weekend was a shame si 13 tom tom and the one and only OZ BOMB couldnt make it we did miss the fat phone and the thin phone

OK, here's a brief roundup.

Late on (i'm guessing around midnight?) I needed to move the soararse to shine the headlights into our little camp so we could find something, I moved the car but foolishly decided to do a couple of donuts on the grass in the centre of the field.

Then I parked the car up and noticed my mate's E36 joining in with my brother at the helm and also an E30 bouncing off the limiter doing donuts. I yelled at my brother to get his ass back in just as security were turning up. I lost track of what else was going on whilst concentrating on keeping my brother out of trouble. Words were exchanged with the security staff who were then interested in a silver E30 which was now parked down the far end of the field, minus the driver apparently.

Not knowing whose car it was at that stage we just said we had no idea whose it was or where the driver was, so they went off to investigate and were on about getting the filth out.

About 20 mins later plod were on scene and the driver had apparently done a runner but then came back or got found hiding (i don't know). He got taken away and plod drove off in his car.

It was only later I realised this was a dude who was parked up near us (can't remember his name and don't know his forum name) but his poor girlfriend was then stranded as he had been taken away and so had the car.

Ziggy was generously offering to help her out to get home the following day in the event the dude did not reappear. We left about 11.00am Sunday as it was pishing with rain and we had done enough damage and spoiled the other's enjoyment.

Some apologies were offered at the scene to Scott, who was naturally annoyed as it was his name down for the booking of the field and I have subsequenltly offered my apologies to him when I got back Sunday pm.

Not my finest hour.

To be fair Lee, It's not you I am annoyed at. You did do a couple of doughnuts but they were well clear of anyone else.

The guy who's E30 it was is E30cossie, The whole situation could have been sorted on the spot with a whole lot less hassle but sadly he didn't do the right thing. Just his general attitude to it all stank imo, We all get a little silly at times but most of us would do the right thing and apologise when caught.

It was a lot of stupid things that all compounded his initial cock up and resulted in possibly a very expensive weekend. Time and a place for these sort of things and a campsite near other campers is not it imvho
