hi I slammed the glove box shut and it is now stuck lol. are there any tricks to getting into the glove box ?

Glovebox mounts on a bracket held by two 8mm self tappers.Pull the carpet back in the footwell to find them.With them out it may be possible to 'wiggle' the thing free,or get your fingers inside from behind to squeeze the lock fingers in.

Sounds like it might be worth trying your key in the lock? Assuming the glove box uses the same key as your ingnition....
