If you mean a waste gate then there’s usually a nipple on the compressor housing which is joined by a small piece of pipe.

It's just to let it know how much boost pressure it is putting out so I would think the feed could be taken from anywhere in the pressurised inlet system, maybe even a T piece in the pipe for the fuel pressure regulator?

It is there to open the wastegate when the turbo is produceing it's pre-set boost pressure by venting some exhaust gas around the exhaust turbine rather than through it.

You need to feed the wastegate & BOV a vacuum feed for them both too work, you can take the wastegate feed from the comp housing but you'll get a quicker reacting WG as the comp housing is first to show boost, if you take the feed from after the TB you'll get more boost as it takes longer for it too build up as there is always pressure drops through pipework and IC.

Try and get them all from the same source as it will mean they all see the same pressure but try not to 'T' them off one source, a few tapped into the inlet mani would do fine.

No feed to an internally gated turbo means unlimited boost = bang.
