Will i have any issue's fitting an E36 rack once my M30 is in
ie,Manifold hitting steering column uj's

Yes, you'll need to significantly modify the downpipe part of the rear manifold in order to get an e36/e46/z3 rack in.

Dunno mate, it's been a while since I did this swap on my 335. I should correct my first post, it's actually the front manifold which needs modifying.

I suspect that Dan's linkage wouldn't do the trick, you really need to alter the position and orientation of the 2 bolt flange on that front manifold. I shorterned it, rotated it and angled it closer to the engine block that it originally was and then modified the downpipe to suit.

Yes, cornering hard left can become very 'exciting' when the manifold jams the steering! :eek:

As Theo says, some re-shaping of that front manifold is required.
Luckily they (most of them I've seen anyway) have a steel section before it gets to the downpipe, so this can be cut and welded as appropriate.
