Hi all,
I'm going to look at an '03 316ti for my other half on sunday.
I know these have the valvetronic lump, can anyone shed any light on what problems I should be looking out for?

the engine itself
no fan of the N series engines Dan.
major thing to look for is failed MAF( very common ) and the intake resonator on the early ones can rub on the front pulleys and cause bad running, replace with modified part and shes all good
should feel quite flat and torquey, anthing other than that is just plain wrong.
