2 door 325i track car....all striped out etc. What is the best way of securing all the loose and exposed cables inside the car and to get it looking tidy. What do the recers use? cheers
Pictures would be great.
securing electric cables - how?

You can get spiral binding to hold multiple cables together, or just snap tie them into a loom.
Then get some of the self adhesive pads to stick to the floor / roof / bulkhead or whatever and snap tie the loom to them at about half metre intervals.
All available from Kit Car Solutions and probably Rally Design (but I have'nt looked).
Kim.
Edit: silly me, I meant Car Builder Solutions

If your not using the electric window switches (or move them to the dash) the loom that goes across the car under the drivers feet can be moved to the bottom of the dash.
I have done this on the drivers side and it then comes down to the passenger side of the tx tunnel into its standard position where it picks up the revesing switch(?) wiring from the gearstick.
Front to rear loom has stayed in its original position (in the white clips which run along the sill).
On the passenger side Im going to buy some more of these clips as Im also running the FX outlet and both pull cables along with the wiring here.
Looks pretty OE as I didnt want anything 'extra' running along the tx tunnel (for looks more than anything else!)
My 4L FX is mounted on the floor behind where the passenger seat would be.

Insulation tape is ok if your not going to be undoing it again for a while but spiral wrap is cleaner and easier.UweM3 wrote:good old fashioned insulation tape! All wires wrapped up and tucked along sills with cable ties secured. Not much cables to see in my car, thanks to Matt from ETA. He did a very tidy job when fitting my cage.
And I've got insulation tape for nothing from work for the last twenty years!!
Good for making up some temporary numbers though
