Since getting my car back from it's head transplant, i've noticed that i get a good whiff of engine oil vapour inside the car, especially after booting it a bit. Haven't noticed the oil level going down yet.
Any ideas?

There is probably just a bit of stray oil lurking about the exhaust manifold after the heads been off. Nothing really to worry about, the smell will disappear but i would check for leaks.

:yeahthat:
This is quite normal after engine work, stray oils etc burning off, should go after week or so.

Especially if WD40 was squirted everywhere to undo the Ex. manifold nuts.

Check both of the big rubber bulkhead grommets for wiring haven't been displaced.

Same here! Ive done 300 miles in mine since the rebuild and it still smells.
Just hope the engine isnt burning oil.
