Hi Guys
So I'll be getting new rims pretty soon. The options are 16" Lenso's or 15" Ronal LS rims. The car an H reg Cab. I'll post pics in 5 minutes.

Nice one Imys.
You should see her at the moment, on steels with no seats or carpet looks like a right dog.

I'd say save up a bit more and get these....
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Borbet-A-9x16-VW- ... 240%3A1318
Quality wheels, and look
Or look around and get a used set if you can only work within that budget.
I've heard bad things about the ebay reps....weigh a tonne, and crack the first time you hit a pot hole.
I still remember how amazed i was as to how light borbet a wheels are.

My touring has 9J front and back on a 60/60 drop and doesn't rub. My brothers cab had the same setup but his did rub but he was using a ebay suspension kit (not hottuning) so that may have been why! I would say to play it safe 40mm on the rear and you should be okay.chisel wrote:I was looking to set Borbets but no one could answer how wide I could go front and rear before it rubs and sh!t. You're always best off rolling the arch as much as you can either way just to give yourself that extra bit of clearance.
I will add though, that while my borbet t's go on without spacers, borbet a's require spacers as the rear mating face on them is flat and not curved (as the new borbet wheels are).
That said i've had both borbet a, and borbet t's on my touring, and i much preferred the t's on my touring.

I'll second that, it's gorgeous. Maybe get a chrome kidney grill for chromey days if you have them..ImysE30 wrote:

But then again, is chrome like tattoos - once you have one you seem to get lots?

Lensos are a cheap nasty wheel.
Ronal one the other hand are a quality manufacturer which many manufacturers use for OE alloy.
Genuine alpina, some Hartge, many Ford, VW and other manufacturers are Ronal alloys.
