I have just taken my e30 325 for it's first track day (yes yes will get pics up asap and details of what I have done).

Great day. The gearbox leaked a little before, now leeks quite a lot and makes a noise. It was toped up before the track day, but needed another 1/2 litre after the track day.

I am thinking about getting another box off ebay and fitting that, but incase you guys new of any upgrades etc i thought I would just pick your brains first.

Roll cage and fibre glass panels being fitted before next track day, can't wait. Roll on silverstone.

No real gearbox upgrade available, I've always thought that the getrag 260 (standard e30 325i) is actually a really nice gearbox to use. You could get it rebuilt to ensure that it is in A1 condition, but I would probably just getting a decent used one for 50 odd quid and fit new selector and output seals to it.

The gearbox looses loads of oil out the breather on the top when abused on track.

Add a pipe up to the engine bay and a little catch tank (clutch resevoir works a treat) then you wont loose oil from there it will simple run back in
