What pit bike you got?
I've spent quite a bit of my youth playing with them.

In my day you didn't get your first car until you turned 17, unless it was a shite pot mini with swiss cheese spec body work your dad convinced you that you could fix it up together.

check the wires running from the diff sensor these can turn brittle and break through age.

if you look under the back of the car you will the rear drive shafts ( the shafts run to each of the rear wheels ) in the middle of these you will see what is commonly known as the diff. on the rear of this there is a plug with 2 wires connected to it that's the wires you want to inspectarmanib wrote:ermm ok its been sitting for a while so ill tell u all the problems it has speedo dont work , heater dont work , bonnet cable snapped and my aerial dont work but wire might come off need a back right wishbone as mines bent and where the liquid for the screenwash goes the little seal has gone somewhere so need one of those and i dont even know what a diff looks like nevermind where it is

the 318is can be a pain to bleed. i would normally fill it normally then remove the top hose then pour water down there until its filled up put the hose back on then start the car and remove the bleed screw off the top of the radiator then have it running and keep filling the radiator until there's no bubbles coming out the bleed screw

Buy one from euro car parts or German, french and swedish car parts. They're not dear and not worth buying used. Nice looking leathers I'd be interested if I wasn't about 300 miles away!
edit: just realised you mean back one - so a trailing arm I guess. Zone for sale will be up soon, should be easy to get one.

Radiator bleeding -
If possible park the car with the front end slightly raised.
with engine off, completely remove radiator bleed screw.
Fill the radiator up to the very brim and keep filling it until water comes out of the hole in the rad, and the bubbles stop.
Put the screw about halfway back in.
Start the car. You need to hold the revs at about 2000 rpm (you can rev it using the throttle body on top of the engine if you don't have an assistant) you will notice a jet of water coming out of the screw. Hold the revs up until this jet is constant (to start with it will be intermittant as air is still coming out.) Then tighten up the screw.
Remember that the heaters won't be hot until the engine is warm.
Speedo, have you checked the fuses, they're in the engine compartment. Look for one with the metal bit broken.
Car looks like it has potential, I have a black IS myself with a scrape in the same place!

Carefuly read mr dinks instructions and follow them. It might well be a good idea to invest in a workshop manual for your car. That way there will be pictures and good descriptions on how to do a lot of the jobs you want to do.armanib wrote: Oh on my rad it has a bottle where you see how high the water is , it has little lines all the way to the top and half way it has a lien that goes full around it and says kraft above i think it says kraft and it says cold under which i filled it up should i of filled it right to the top line
