Think he re-located. I've found them to provide equally good service still...

I'm using Cotswold more and more because they're much more pleasant to deal with than the local's and lower prices when i have contacted both for the same bit. Although i did a double-take and asked if the housing was included when i was told £23.48 for a thermostat...
I had a GSF one in that had decided to stick open after 3 months, another thing not to buy from them :-x

My local stealers in Swansea can still beat Cotswold BMW on (literally) everything I've asked for prices on. I think that what happens when you become a regular and all the parts guys, receptionists and sales-personell know who you are and what you're about, even when they've never spoken to you otherwise. 9 times out of 10 I get offered a cuppa when I walk thru the door of my local stealers, as I've spent half my life there over the last 5 years!
Maybe this BMW thing can get too far under your skin.

i spent thousands at toyota and used to get great discounts. after the parts guy left i found out that he'd been offering a 5 finger discount and had been stealing the parts as none of the cash was going to the dealer but he was salting it away before disappearing....

Guys, when making cost comparisons, don't forget that Cotswolds' prices include VAT and P&P. I am lucky as Cotswold are a few miles from me so I can just stop in and pick stuff up. I have dealt with many dealerships in the past but these guys are motivated BMW enthusiasts, moreso than you could find elsewhere. As such their knowledge and enthusiasm ensures the service they provide is first class. If you have the time to go to your dealer and find someone who is interested in your car AND get good prices, then go for it. Cotswold fill a real gap for a lot of people who don't have the time or inclination to go to their local dealer.

Cotswold have been cheaper than any of my local branches the few times I've used them. The fact that there are no hidden costs when asking for quotes is a huge benefit as well. What you see is what you pay for.
