My friend has just left mine nun to happy, he tried to have a little sound off with me and he has drove away with two blown subs.Tried comparing his ripspeed bulk package against my pioneer equipment which I choose carefully to compliment each other ie: amps to suit subs and amps to suit mids etc. Made me laugh when his on screen display said he was on 20(volume) and he said yours is on 18, what he did not realise is I had not turned the knobs on my 2 sub remotes .
Lets just say he tried to turn up his bass off the head unit and it ended with me smelling subs frying .
Lesson to be learned don't buy off the shelf packages and don't play with your bass unless your speakers can handle it.
By the way heres a link to the track I was playing.
My mate was playing some sort of car alarm music think it was head candy or something.
ripspeed is junk! , i go down to spl comp's and it's shocking the amount of money that they spend on there systems. and how they all differ (running voltage, tunning, sub's amp). its like a drug once you start you cant stop. i started with 2x8" 125rms each subs and now will be running 2x15" orion hcca 2000rms off 2x orion d5000 amps costing me £1.5K! , and around £1k for batterys , bigger alts , eq's. (not in e30)
How easy is it to uprate the alternator,is it just the bushes they do or is there more to it.Mine has been taking a battering and been told not to waste money on a power cap.
