Hi guys was thinking about buying the ELMSCAN have any of yous used this interface also do you know will it work with the e60

Tried them before and for the price it does the job but you have to get correct one for your car because of many versions and leads. They can only read and clear fault codes and some limited datalogging (very slow sample rate for doing anything usefull) you can't turn off any other lights (airbag, seatbelt, lambda ect ) or go into any other module/system on the car therefore very restricted.

I have the carsoft already and it works really well on any of the e46s and e36s ive worked on but I have my own e60 now and I can only access the service resets I can't access the airbag fault code do you know of any cheap interface( under say 400/ 500 pounds that would help would also like to be able to do the 01vw passat, 02 audi a4, and 99 alfa 156 my folks have and any other stuff I need to access
