Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Anywho, I've got my MOT in January and I have a problem with my exhaust.

It sounds like it's blowing, but when you do the 'cover the tailpipe and eagerly listen' test there's no leaks. Narrowed it down to my front silencer. If I push on the outer skin I get a nice throaty grumble which is how it should sound, but when I release, the raspyness comes back.

Would this be an MOT failure, considering the front box isn't actually doing it's job?

Any help much appreciated. :)
