the o/s doors still shiny, i like that bit of the car the most!!!!! It also has more leg room due to lack of anything at all inside. Oh and the log book says its a lux model.... I guess thats what the 1 inch deep puddle is for in the footwell, makes a lovely footspa!

Scuttle repair panel needed, anyone got one???

Its in the garage and the roof is done now, i ground the corrosion away on the top of the roof and hammered the areas down to make large dents. I mig welded patches in and fibreglassed over the top. On the underside i rubbed down the corrosion and used a dremil multitool to grind away those awkward areas. Next i painted the inner roof with zinc primer and then a coat of hammerite to seal everything. Need a new roof lining though, i want a non sunroof lining as i may do away with the sunroof altogether and weld a plate in. Then fireglass again.
sorry took no pictures as the garage was full of rubbish and i didnt have space to breath.

Been talking with a guy from work who i got the car off, think we decided on tech 2 bodykit, painted white with warsteiner graghics. As its only a 316 a rover v8 conversion is on the books but havent made our minds up yet. (we work in a landrover garage)

Thanks jim its good to see not everyone thinks im crazy, tool supplier let me down, i now have to wait til next week for my new mig :x Gutted and dont want to go no further without it. Promise more pics next week with progress. Things will move much quicker with my new mig and compressor.

the garage is nearly ready, decided to throw more junk out at the back and move the workbench on the left to the back wall. also the boxes on the left are wheels for an mx5 so need to get them fitted on the other car bofore i carry on to make more space also.

plenty of room in there for a little old e30, also have a large shed in the back garden for parts storage and insect contamination.

URBAN COWBOY I GOT THIS CAR FOR FREE OFF YOU. HOWEVER ITS COST ME A FORTUNE IN SKIPS TO CLEAR THIS GARAGE OUT. I KNOW YOUR WATCHING SILENTLY.

I think he must live in a salt mine or something looking at the corrosion haha (its not as bad as it looks)

Every 'real' man should have a Black and Decker workbench in their garage, even if it's seldom used - you've got two! Grrrrrrrrr..
