Hey all, I've just completed the basic service drill, new plugs, oil filter, oil, air filter and do so on. Then I noticed that without a Haynes, i cant locate the petrol filter to replace it too. Please help me find and replace this thing. I want to refresh my tourer, which is the most reliable friend I've had in many years.

many thanks in advance. I value the comments on this board, but i couldnt find anything close to my enquiry.

If it's a 320i/325i, it's under the nearside sill near the rear wheel - cylindrical thing with hoses at each end.

I have a 1984 320i (external fuel pump): is the filter located near the rear wheel?

Thanks! :)
