hi
as above,can the 525ix (4x4) engine be used for an m50 swap?
would there be any issues compared to using a rwd doner?

The engine is identical to any other m50; the sump and gearbox will be different to allow for the drive to the front wheels.
But why piss about - drop the whole drivetrain in!

As stated above the sump would be different but could still be used.

The transfer box can be unbolted off the gearbox to leave you a standard gearbox on the M20 version, it might be the same on the M50's too.

I would be interested in the ix sump if you want to sell it?
