I'm planning on running some 7.5x16 or 8x16 in wheels on my car (325) - just wondering what the best offset would be?

The car is currently running standard sport suspension, but will probably be dropping the ride height by approx 40 mm.

Any help would be much appreciated.

On an E30 (not including M3 here) ideal offset for 7.5" width is et18 or thereabouts and for 8"it's et13-ish.
Contrary to popular belief, required offset has nothing to do with rim diameter. Ride height doesn't affect it either.

This is why I no longer drive an E30......

7.5 x 16 @ et20 on my Hartge splitties... The 1 piece versions are et25, so somewhere around there would be fine... :)

ET13 on an 8" rim must be getting pretty close to the rear arch lips? Not sure what Alpina 8"s came as?

Thanks mate.

What would a 7 x 15 wheel with an offset of 16 be like under the arches? Sorry not sure how to work out what fits and what doesnt!
