Being sick to death of t-cutting and polishing my car every few months to restore the colour, I've decided to try the Meguiars 3 step Deep Crystal system for more lasting results.
My question is, how many of the Meguiars microfibre / terry towel cloths will I need from start to finish ?

1 for each application, unless you end up layering.
Flat Red e30's iirc don't have a clear coat, from what I know of the megs 3 step I'd only layer step 3 the crystal carnauba wax, thats the only part of it that will protect the paint acting as a sacraficial barrier.
