Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

I am considering swapping an M50 unit from a 5 series into my 318is.

A friend has a set of evo throttle bodies he's not using and I wondered if they will bolt onto the head?

Was thinking of an aftermarket ecu to run it. Bit more expense but the engine could be mapped really well. Maybe even cams if budget allows...

Any way..

Anyone know if they'll fit??

Many thanks. Jai.

Toyota's 4AGE (I think, engine from the Sprinter anyway) had 4 throttle bodies, well one version of it did. Not sure if they will fit (or can be made to) but I think you can get them fairly cheaply.

There is also someone on www.e36coupe.com doing this as well.

I think he has been having problems with clearance on the oil filter housing

4age is the normally aspirated 16v one from the mr2/corolla GT.

i think you're on about the 20v version, can't remember the engine code.

what's a Sprinter don't think we got that one here in the uk?

not that any of this is relevant to m3 throttle bodies though
