I replaved it with a modified 5 series one for Ԛ£35.
I believe you can get a recon unit for about Ԛ£75 from GSF or Euro Parts.
As for any thing else I couldn't really say what it is.

Probably best to start with the cheapest option and replace the filter, then go from there.
At a guess I would try things in this order......
Fuel Filter
Fuel Pump
Injectors (sonic cleaning job)
Can't think of anything else you could have blocked up.
You may get some more knowledgable replies later when there are more people on line, this is the best advice I can offer you

Its a m10 correct?
Never really worked out if these have two pumps or just the one, some early ones have one in the tank and the main one outside...Not sure keep meaning to look on mine!
Try running a whole bottle of redex through it, when the petrol is relatively low. (your likely to smoke a bit....!) Or you can do a wet soak with it (by having the engine running and taking off a vacumm hose and letting it suck up the redex. Do this on a windy day though as you will produce a lot of smoke!)
Change the oil after you have done all this. My car always feels more powerful after i changed the oil. Maybe do an engine flush as well.
Then go for a nice long drive....! and a bit of "italian" tuning. Seams to work wonders with m10s!

My M10 has 2 pumps, the intank and the sender pump. I think they replaced these with a single intank pump later on but I don't know if they just changed it on the M40 or the later M10s. Mine is 01/85 build fyi.
