would it be ok to start and idle my 2.5 engine on a 2.0 ecu and meter to test the engines ok b4 i start throwing anymore dough at it?

you could put the ecu on but it will under fuel for sure, and i think the afm will be ok, im sure there just the same
M50 Turbo!!! :o I shall say no more :D

The 2 litre and 2.5 litre AFM's are different.

It will be ok to run the 2.5 on a 2 litre ECU for a short time, the fuelling will not be massively different as the fuel pressure is higher on a 2.5 anyway.
