i just bought a gorgeous set of 12 spoke mim wheels and i was wondering if anyone
could recomend any decent locking bolts as ive heard stories of people shearing cheap ones.
also will i need longer bolts as im changing from steel wheels.
what is the best width/profile to run on an otherwise standard 318i.

On 15" wheels, its generally recomended to have 205/50/15 all round. Or you can have 205/55/15 , not a great deal of differnce. Or like some people on here, have a slightly smaller size up front say 195/50 and then 205/50 on the back to allow for better handling.

Id personally go for 205/50/15 all round, this is what most guys are running, and you can chose pretty much any tire in this size as well as the choices are endless

the correct size to run is 205 55 15 not the 50 profile

however 50s give more feedback, but i run 55 rear and 50 front

50s all round are awesome but my car is very low so i need to raise the rear with the 55s a bit

i've lost the key for my bolts, it's somewhere in the car but i got fed up of looking today. then i found that a 19mm socket (the type with 12 dimples rather than 6 flats) fits the pattern on the bolts absolutely perfectly!

so if anyone wants to nick my mims then that's what you need!

any bolts should be fine as long as you don't torque them down ridiculously tight (by standing on the wheelbrace), there's no need.

Took my friend about a minute to remove a set of the McGuard ones when I first bought the touring as I didn't get the locking key with it.

I ran these wheels for a while on my white car,
I used 205/50/15" tyres and standard BMW wheel bolts and lockers

Does anyone know where you can buy the centers for them?

Didn't relise they were so popular!

Seen them on quite a few E21's

I have 2 sets of these, one set on my touring and another polished set that my brother's using on his MK1 Golf.

I wouldn't mind finding out where you can get centres too.
